The Famous Quickie Hole
A unique “novelty” hole of the Laudenbach Bouja Golf Tournament. The premise of the Quickie Hole is a bit different from your ordinary golf hole. The goal is for your team to get the ball from the tee box, onto the Green, and into the Hole as quickly as possible! It doesn’t matter how many shots it takes, all that matters is how quick you get it done. The lower the time… the lower your score!
When we first started filming the Quickie Hole in 2007, it was all about capturing the excitement of the Quickie Hole, and sharing the experience with the entire family. However, you can only watch video of people running for just so long. So now, filming is about getting our folks to act, dance, sing, etc, and then turning the film into a video. Our golfers never really know what they’re acting out, or dancing to… until they see the finalized video a year later.

It became a filming tradition, that at the end of the Quickie Hole. We allow everyone to catch their breath for 2 seconds and then we tell them to be creative or funny in front of a camera… turn up the volume and enjoy!
WHAT IS THE QUICKIE-HOLE?
Here are some of the rules for the Quickie Hole:
You must rotate shots between a minimum of two or more of your team members. That means, no player can ever hit the ball two or more times in a row; no consecutive hits!
(Some find it helpful to have two Cart Drivers, and two Ball Hitters… it’s up to you.)
All Players need to remain behind the golfer that is hitting the ball… for safety’s sake!
If a ball is hit out of bounds, you may (as quickly as possible) drop another ball at the point of entry into the woods, and continue from there.
As stated earlier, your teams’ score on this hole is determined by “how long it takes you to complete the hole.” If you complete the hole in under 4-minutes, you score a “3”. If completed in under 3-minutes, score a “2”. Under 2-minutes, score a “1”. And under 1-minute (and it’s been done), score a Zero!
There are two of our very best Bouja Staff people that work the Quickie Hole. One of them holds the stopwatch and records your time, the other completes some videotaping… in preparation of each year’s Quickie Hole Video.
